Israel carried out continuous attacks in Iran's capital (Social media)
International News: On Friday morning, West Asia was rocked when Israel launched airstrikes on some of Iran's key nuclear facilities and military installations, killing several senior Iranian military officials and causing massive damage to the nuclear program's infrastructure. The attack is not just a military action but a deeply political and strategic message—Israel will not tolerate a nuclear Iran under any circumstances.
Iran and Israel's relationship was once based on covert cooperation. Before the 1979 Iranian Islamic Revolution, Iran under the rule of Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi was pro-West and saw Israel as a strategic partner. But the radical Islamic leadership that came to power after the revolution declared the US and Israel as their enemies. Since then, dialogue between the two countries has been replaced by suspicion and conflict.
Israel has long feared that Iran is developing nuclear weapons in the name of peace. Although Iran claims that its nuclear program is only for energy and medical research, reports from international nuclear agencies have indicated that Tehran has sufficient reserves of weapons-grade uranium. Israel fears that once Iran has a nuclear bomb, its existence could be in danger.
Iran created a 'resistance network' through organizations like Hamas, Hezbollah, and Houthi, which is active around Israel. But the conflict in Gaza after 2023 and Israeli attacks on the Syria-Lebanon front have broken the backbone of this network. Now that Iran is strategically weak, Israel found this to be the right opportunity to attack.
The ongoing nuclear talks between Iran and America have come to a standstill. Israel feared that if this agreement was reached, some sanctions would be lifted from Iran, and it would become politically difficult to attack it. In such a situation, the Netanyahu government adopted an aggressive strategy and attacked in advance. It is also being said that even though America is silent in public, Israel got the green signal from within.
Now the question arises—is this attack the beginning of a big war? Iran has not yet given an official response, but the news of its new nuclear sites and military deployments is raising concerns. If Iran retaliates, the entire West Asia could be in the grip of a devastating conflict.
The Israel-Iran conflict is no longer just between two countries, but it is becoming a major threat to global stability. This confrontation is not just a battle of missiles or bombs but of ideologies, strategies, and survival.
